Bringing their sector expertise, our education ambassadors work with you as senior leaders providing advice and guidance on strategic leadership issues.


Jim Knight works in education, digital technology and as a legistator. He is a director of Suklaa Ltd, providing advice to clients in education. Jim is the chair of the trust board at E-Act Multi-Academy Trust, and chair of the board at the Council of British International Schools. He is a board member for Century-Tech, MACAT International and Educate Ventures Research Ltd, and he sits on advisory bodies for Nord Anglia Education, Pearson and BETT. As a Government minister and MP, Jim’s portfolios include rural affairs, schools, digital and employment. He was a member of Gordon Brown’s Cabinet, before joining the Lords in 2010. He regularly speaks in the Lords on education and technology policy.

Maura is the former CEO of the Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust. She was awarded an OBE in 2015 and made a Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (DBE) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2021 in recognition for her outstanding leadership and service to education in the region and nationally. Maura is an education advisor to The Edwin Group and an ambassador for Edwin People.
Jonny Uttley works in education, leadership and organisational development. He is an education consultant, providing bespoke advice and support to schools and trusts. Jonny spent eight years as CEO of TEAL Multi-Academy Trust, having previously been a headteacher and executive principal. He is a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Young Lives, and a trustee for SHINE. He contributes to sector groups and advisory bodies, including The Difference, the IPPR, and the Department for Education’s National MAT CEO Advisory Group. He regularly contributes to policymaking forums and leadership development programmes, and has been recognised as one of Education Business Magazine’s most influential people in education in recent years.
